My question is I thought that if I played Match play against someone with a higher level ranking and a lower scoring average, that if I beat them, that too would lower my scoring average??? I recently beat someone at level 102 and a 62 scoring average, and I'm at a 63.24 and level 98 but my scoring avg didn't move??? I've gotten tired of just playing easy courses to lower the average, and since I enjoy match play more, I've just been sticking with that (plus I'm going through less balls now;) ). I had hoped to eventually get to Tour Legend but that doesn't seem to be within reach anymore unless I just played easy courses repeatedly which is boring-so I really don't care anymore.. Any insight would be much appreciated!

    Almost ;)

The opponent must be of a higher tier, and you must be below Legend.

For Legends like you and me, no relevance.
