  I have never seen this problem before and don't know what to do about it. 

     as I am dragging the meter to power up for a swing,it just decides to turn around and head for the ding line. Most of the time it just goes back to the end and resets. But some times, it goes just a little way and hits the ding and swings on it's own. No rhyme or reason. This morning,I tried to play RSG,and on the 1st hole, i had to try to drive 8 times before it would go all the way to full power. It does it on the green for putts too. 

      It would be nice to see if anyone else has had this problem, and without getting techy, what did you do?

     And,I clean my cache every day, so that isn't it, .I run my anti virus scan cevery morning at at 3 am, and my malwarebyte program once every 3 days. 

    i am on Maxthon if that matters

  Check your mouse, I've seen this before myself and it turned out to be a weak battery in my wireless one. I swapped it out with a corded one to discover that.  :-)

  Jim might have got it but it also could be a worn out mouse. As many times as we press the left mouse button playing this game even the best mouse can wear out. In the 8 or so years I have been here I have gone through several different mice. Just look at it, If you just play 2 18 hole rounds a day that could be anywhere from 220 to 300 clicks. 

  That is 1 click to start the and a second click to take the shot. Add to that the fact that we hold the button down for several second on most shots which has to put some extra wear and tear on the contacts. This is not an easy game on mice. And if you are using the 3 click meter it is even harder on mice.

  Exactly why I swapped the wireless with a known good wired one. It was actually the first step in the solving process because there are several ways the actual fault could happen. That worn button is one, the weak battery, a frayed connection and the most ignored one-albeit very unusual-is the USB port. Switching to another port is the test there. 

  Interesting note on that worn button. The mouse I had before this one lasted a very long time. In fact, it's a backup now but the reason I changed it was because the way I clicked the mouse made a difference. It got to the point where I would have to slide my finger further ahead on the button to get a good response. Apparently the micro switch is worn like a cambered tire.  LOL

  thanks all, i tried a mouse i had hanging around...wired...and it worked

  I have had the problem a few times. Changing the mouse or the battery makes no difference.
  The problem goes away eventually without changing anything and then comes back a few weeks later.
  Any suggestions would be most welcome as having 3 or 4 air shots off the tee or putts that go 6 inches doesn't do a lot for your score or your credits if it happens in ready go tournaments.

  Make sure you don't 'hold' the meter back for too long, it has an 'auto-release' after about 15-20 seconds.
