Hey so i'm new on here, i did play maybe 1-2 years ago very briefly & i remember there being a massive spreadsheet of all possible upgradeable clubs & what level, stats they have first question does this still exist?

Anyway i started playing yesterday & i'm currently Amateur - 22, at what level is the best to upgrade for a good set of clubs that will last me a fair while? I'll be after a good driver & irons first of all as i think they're most necessary for my game style.

Last question are there any things i should be doing or avoid doing, so far i haven't spent any credits earned & just been playing stroke play / bracket tournaments.

Thanks to anyone in advance who offers their help / past experiences.

    Hello there, Jiim!

For a driver that has tremendous performance characteristics and will last you well into Levels 65-75 or so (I used it until Level 80), and easily into and through the Master tier, I strongly recommend the TaylorMade R1 TP 9.0 White Driver (Aldila 65 shaft) (L48+). I loved that club and still have it in my garage. I used to love bombing drives past people with more expensive drivers they got at higher levels.

Hello, not sure if this is the equipment table you're looking for but yes one does exist.  Here ya go.  http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/235590.aspx

LouisPeter gave good advice on a 1st driver.  Lvl 48 Taylor Made.  It will last you until Legend tier.

Irons - Look at the Lvl 59 Pings.  They are the 1st irons that are high trajectory which will help stop the ball on greens.  They can last until Legend as well.

You will have to upgrade those once reaching Legend so keep that in mind.

Stick with the starter putter for as long as you can.  After that the Lvl 70 Versa is an excellent 1st putter.

Wedges - grab either the TM or Cleve's when you can get them but also keep in mind eventually if you want to score well you'll need a set of top level wedges.

you can use the best clubs here:

    Taylor R11 L 32 Steel

    Taylor R11 L 29 Driver

Callaw. Big Bertha L 19 Wood

    Cleveland 60/70/100 Wedges

The combo of the Taylor R 11 are the best clubs in the first and middle Tier area. They are very famost. I played them for a longer time. The wedges are importend for the shorter hits. Why the basics clubs are rubish. Use the Callaway L 33 or 34 Balls. they give you a perfect distance and a good meter.

Wait until over L 70 to go up to Legend tier, and than use other clubs as well.

The putter is a big question. You will use different clubs to find the one you like.

    alpenpirat:
    Cleveland 60/70/100 Wedges
    These should be evenly spaced below the PW. Frequently, 50 - 75/77 - 100 or 60 - 80 - 100 are used.
