Will someone please explain how points are earned in the clash. It makes no sents what so ever how points are awarded and taken away......

But that is the way wgt does things.... they just throw it out there and say play this..... It is like lambs to the slaughter.... We just line up and wait our turn to get our heads cut off.... skinned, gutted and 1/4 erd

As near as I can tell from watching our CC's scores in our rounds, your club (on its way to trying to beat the other club) gets the points you normally get for birdies, etc.(doubled if using a blue pass), plus 300 points for longest hole-out and 300 points for longest individual putt made. (These last two can change throughout the match, so they don't actually get added until after time runs out and the calculations are made to determine which club won.)

After the winning club is determined, then each club gets "score multiplier points" based on the top ten finishers total (for the two clubs). Unfortunately (as far as skill-based hopes go), someone who shoots a 100-point game with birdies and pars, but did not use a super pass, will fall below someone who shoots a 60-point game, but who used a pass and earned 120 points. The "top" score (counting the blue pass) gets a x6 multiplier, next is x5, etc., with ties at bottom of the top 10 getting x2. Also added are the 300-point bonuses that are NOT the putt and hole-out bonuses (sand save%, GIR%, birdies%, total club putt distance). Oh, and the 500 points for being winning team.

So, while the "regular" points get added to the leaderboard as you play the round, the bonus points and "multipliers" get added (to the leaderboard) later, although they do show up as big points during the round, too (confusingly).

Even a losing effort can gain a club alot of points on the leaderboard if the 300-point bonuses and some of the "score multipliers" go their way.
