    BillyTBudMan:

I am still quite interested in which wedges to end up with for the time being.  If someone could shed some light it would be much appreciated.

Peeking in your bag, I'd say you have pretty much an ideal setup for the level where you are (i.e. the clubs you are allowed to buy). When you get up there, the more advanced (more accurate) versions of the same clubs (i.e. the Cleavers) will serve you well.

Mr. Zagraniczniak...Although i cannot for the life of me pronounce your name, I would like to know what your setup was prior to your purchasing the new fancy shmancy Cleavers.

Had the full lineup of Ping Tour (whatever was the most advanced version I could buy at that time, some of them were reserved at that time for tiers, Pro or Master). 95, 75 and 60 yards. More accuracy than the Silken competitors, but a little less spin. Don't know how they compare with the lower-level Cleavers.

Plus, I had the 50-yard Silky but didn't cotton to it.

    Satin, whatever.

Mr. Zag...As i am able to pronounce that i will call you that, I think when the money sees fit to bless me with some additional credits i will be replacing my rusty Cleavers for the satin Satins, as i do like how the 64 degree Z as in Zag Satin wedge plays.  Cant imagine not having that club, so i suppose i should have the rest to match, because of the meter speed that is, I'm not one to care about things that match, unless of course its a red and white can getting matched up to my mouth.

I'd go for Clevelands when you can get the best ones, until then the Taylor's Home Made Z wedgies will probably play as well for a lot less money.  In fact I know many players who have bought the best Cleveland 64° and gone back to the TM 64 °as it's easier when playing less than full shots.

I have 4 wedges and play most courses with them, I do put the 3 wood in the bag for courses with very long par 3's but most rounds I'll carry all the wedges.  The 115  yard 52° one nicely fills the gap between my PW at 125 and 56° wedge at 100 yards.

The trick with the fancy Cleavers is that all that wow! wow! spin is to be kept in reserve for heavy rough, sand shots and the like. Avoid spin altogether and they're simply damned accurate clubs.

Let's just say if Elin had a set of those wedges, Tiger would be extinct.

    SPINO1:

100 YARD SATIN, 50 YARD SATIN, HYBRID

no need for a hybrid in this game.
