I screwed up and choose the wrong country thinking I could change it later, but it won't let me. Does anyone know how to change the country. I have tried but it defaults back to wrong one. Don't neven ask why I choose wrong country....

I don't think you can actually.  I think I remember this happening before and the guy had to create a new account.  Let me see if I can find that thread...

*edit* That looks to be the case. http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/321.aspx

Thank you for the answer. That's kinda bad. Shouldn't you mention that for people. What is the purpose for it being locked in? What if someone moves, or makes a mistake, or was screwing around when they registered? Can't you all change the program line that makes it default back to allow a change. You can change your address, and other info. I could re-register, but unless there is a good reason not to let people switch then I think you all are just taking the easy way out. I thought beta was to work out bugs and make it better. Is it because if you win you get prizes, but only from certain countries.

Sorry guy, I don't actually work for the WGT so I wouldn't know.  I get that a lot though. :)  I don't know why you aren't allowed to change it.  I think you should be able to.  Perhaps they just haven't gotten around to it yet, or maybe they have a specific reason that I just can't think of right now.

Beta is for working out bugs, you're right.  The game's still pretty young though so there's still a lot to work out. :)

As far as prizes, they have to make sure they are in compliance with your countries contest laws.  Your country might require paperwork to be filled out showing you've won for tax purposes.  Every country's laws are different, so it can actually take a while.
