Well I beg to differ sir. I started round playing tournament slow. On the 2nd hole I was above the hole with 15 ft putt and 5 inches of decreasing elevation. I approached the putt as tournament slow. If it wasn't tournament slow the ball would most likely gone 6 ft by, it only went 2 ft by.
If you are putting a regular tournament green and you have a 20 ft putt, and the hole is 7 inches below. There is significant difference in how hard you need to hit the ball without going 6 ft by.
Unfortunately the fact I was given the green speed did change at the 11th hole. As wgticon indicated the speeds of the greens are hard-coded, and there should not have been a change through-out the entire round.
Since the development is still in beta, I should report such an observation, because there has to be something wrong.
We play and make observations on our clubs, balls, and how they interact with the wind, etc, etc. How much spin is applied to give a desired result within a certain degree of uncertainty. We all make mistakes and goof on a shot. But when you are very conscious of a certain shot and you have executed that shot thousands of times you know with certainty what the outcome should approximately be. Thus, when I said the green speed changed during the round, there was no mistake, it did!
cheers
