    Realizing there is two modes of tournament green speed, I'll call slow and regular. I generally use the following rule of thumb.  Non-Legend RG's tournament slow the other regular tournament speed.  But today I was playing Congressional F-18, and I pick tournament slow to begin with.  When you have 15 foot putt uphill or downhill green speed makes a big difference and my putts were right on the money.  However, on the back 9 I noticed a major difference especially on the 11th hole.  The pace of the putt was extremely fast and I was lucky to hit the hole and only go 2 ft by.  The next putt was similar and decided to putt the remaining holes as regular tournament.  You know when you make the right choice especially on a downhill putt from 15 ft.

    I also sent in a bug report, reporting the condition.   Needless to say green speeds should be fairly consistent throughout the round and not going from one green speed to another mid-round.

    with CCC I don`t think I have ever got the speed right on this course/greens , seems fast on some holes little slower on others. (still a work in progress) for me here. but i do tend to be over aggressive with putting..

    Out of all courses I would suspect CCC is where I get the most lip outs. Over hit or hit what I think is right on one hole (hits the edge hard) bounce out , cut a little of the next putt brakes hard late hits the edge lack of speed.

    hi,

    it can't be 2 speeds. it's either 1 setting or the other. it's hard coded before tournaments are setup, so it's impossible to change on the fly

    Hi wgticon;

    I did not make this post fool-hardly.  I know what I saw and I know how I putt.  There is no mistake period.

    I agree with you Infinito! Was playing Congressional last night on tourney speed greens. Had a 8', no  elevation,straight putt. The arrow on flag was pointing 0 down. I dragged the flag back to my ball and there was no elevation change. Hit it 8 feet and guess what,stopped 3" short of the hole.

    Infinito, I certainly hope that WGT will pay some attention to a player with your credentials. I have made many comments on what I thought has changed on here. Knowing that I am just another cash cow to WGT I don't expect a response on my gripes. They damn sure better start paying attention to players like yourself and several of the other upper tier players on here. When you get the absolute best players on here starting to doubt the game it sure is hard for the run of the mill players to want to continue to spend money to improve their ranking on here. I'm just to damn stupid I guess to take a break or give up. I just keep thinking it will get better. I have played 48 rounds of golf on 5 different real courses this year and I have improved on all of them. This by knowing where to stay out of trouble and when to lay up. Doesn't seem to matter any more on here. I lost less than 70 golf balls in 864 holes of golf. I have lost more than that on here in 3 months. Mostly by them just wearing out. Still love this game, but is it still as close as you get to real golf? Any constructive comments by anyone will be appreciated. Any smart A$$ comments will fall on deaf ears.

    What is up with the meter?  This has happened to many golfers and several times to me.  The meter starts down and stops and then it jerks clear to the end.  This of course causes you hit to be very bad.  I hope someone can fix this problem.

    one of the best players ever, who now works for WGT has posted his response.    What else do you want?

    As to you improving here, you missed an opportunity to play with Bollox, doh!  Other then that not sure what you are doing, other then flooding the forums with garbage and constant posts of pure insanity.   So maybe you need a break?

    Cheers,

    Well perhaps I'm crazy, but you would think after a period of time I would recognize the difference between the two!!

    At no point was my response at you infinito.   I agree you would recognize the two, but you were given a fact and chose to ignore it!

    Cheers,
