Yes, there should be more benefits for finishing. I believe that most players quit because their average score will suffer from poor rounds. I believe players' average scores should be calculated from every hole they play, outside of practice rounds. When I play someone who averages 72 and the wind is up and they start hitting bogeys, you can almost sense they're about to quit. What wussies. They are not mature enough to understand golf; you get more satisfaction from finishing a poor round and learning what happened and how to avoid it next time. Also, your average score is realistic, so you have room for improvement. Quitting is wack. Yes there should be penalities. Big time. Thanks
