I don't see how you tiered up by playing coin room

I just got promoted to Legend and I really only play coin rooms.  It is obviously a factor to getting promoted to a higher tier.  It would be nice to know how that happens.

    Congrat's on your promotion!

yes this has been well established by now that it happens, not sure which post my quote was drawn from but it may have been directed to a specific person.

It won't be disclosed by WGT, it would just be another thing either people exploit or find a way to take advantage of.

However, possible factors appear to be substantial growth of coins accumulated, which may translate to more success in higher stakes coins rooms like Tokyo and above, win rate, repeated success in the weekly coin game leaderboards. etc.

Unless people opt to track and share and create a semi comprehensive database it is unlikely we fully piece together the specific criteria being used.

Also, coin room success does not always translate to success in WGT tournaments for everyone because they use boosted apparel in one and default clubs in the other.  Those who tend to do well in both formats tend to make fewer adjustments to their clubs aside from adding driver distance to avoid trying to remember various distances etc.

Another factor is coin room specialist ONLY see green speeds T12 and below so most of their experience lies with those green speeds  The higher you get promoted, the more you start to see C!3 and C14 green speeds in WGT tournaments which mobile players are less familiar with... they can and will adjust but all their time is spent primarily on slower green speeds.

People should be careful how they quote.  You didn't say that you quoted someone else saying it so that you could answer. (page 1 of this thread)

As others have already noted, it's been well established for quite some time that one can tier up through coin room play. Here's a link and quote below it to what WGTChampion posted almost 3 years ago.

"Also, on mobile we see a lot of players who only play in head to head games, and never touch a ranked round for some reason or another. Since coin rooms do not count as ranked rounds, their average doesn't drop.

For the first few tiers we have specific levels that will push the player to the next tier. This way their (sic) aren't any level 90 Hack players or anything like that."

I think the reason some mobile players don’t play ranked rounds is that they prefer the social or challenging aspect of playing with someone rather than on their own. As of course , on mobile we can’t play multi player games other than with friends . I have played lots of ranked rounds , but that’s because I am unsociable  ! Lol
