The effective price of the GI-SD balls is ~ 6x as much as the GID when you factor in the durability being slashed in half.  This seems a little out of line to me.  I already had to cut my friends list in half, because I can't afford to be losing balls due to the friends list lag when it costs me 6x as much $$$.

I also can't justify burning up 3 packs of balls anymore trying to compete w/ tibb and company in the weekly unlimited tourney when first prize doesn't even buy me 2 golf balls.

What is next, 2$ sleeves next update?  I can go play 18 holes of real golf in 4 hours, and use 1-2 balls for 6$,  now it damn near costs me that much to use GISD balls for 4 hours.

I agree 100% prices are getting a bit out of hand. Not worth buying balls to win .14 cents in the tourneys like i did last week.Even though your gonna be having more tourneys its not a good excuse to drop the winnings and raise the price of equipment. Just think your goin in the wrong direction and might scare off some new people when they see it cost more to play than they can win. Still love the site just want to see it succeed. Just my  opinion though I could be wrong it has happened before and will probably happen again.

They could at least offer discounts. Like, buy 3 sleeves of GI-SD balls, get the 4th sleeve for free.

I believe they need take re-look at their current price structure on golf balls.  I have no qualms with their price structure on golf clubs.

However, instead of selling by the sleeve, they should be selling by the dozen.  Secondly, the same price should be across the board for all colors in a given golf ball type.

For example these are just my thoughts,  and WGT may shoot me for them, but what the heck.

                                 XD                                    20

                                 ES                                    25

                                GI-D                                  35

                                GI-S                                  38

                                Tour-S                              43

                                GIT-S                                53

                                Tour SD                            63

                                 GIT-SD                             73

Premium price adjustment on GI type balls since they slow down the meter, and cost structure is per dozen balls.

Now these thoughts are base on volume merchandising.

Whoever is advising you on the price structure for this game is out of touch with reality - surely you can't expect people to pay $2-$3 a week for balls and then lose them through meter lag which is caused by the game eating up too much CPU in the first place. Sort this out before introducing another batch of brightly coloured balls.

If you are going to charge this amount for balls and clubs then at least make the prize credits comparable - even a 1st place in a weekly will not get you a dozen new balls. Finishing in the top 20 won't even get you a single ball.

I'm surprised you've not started charging for wooden tees, 5c a tee sounds about right, and hey, i bet they snap after 1 use.

Don't give them any ideas Paul.It seems like they would be trying to generate some new business instead of running off the old customers with this ridiculous pricing.I don't mind paying a little for the balls but I don't like "The Lost Ball" deal when it is due to meter "freak out".I lost one the other day but I could still see the ball.If it goes in the water I can understand that but not right off the fairway.Oppps, lost ball.I hate to complain but I don't understand the thinking on raising the price on the Golf balls to a little bit more than I would pay to play real golf???

    Larry

PS...Why cant I sell back balls that I haven't used or at least trade them in for some different ones.

Lincoln, Alex, please explain the price on the balls. This is not much more than robbery in broad daylight as far as I can tell. I certainly won't be using them antime soon. The new awards also are an added bonus, no one wants the meter system addressed, just give us a new award to trash the profile page!

These are still no-name WGT golf-balls, with only a few dots in their various attributes. What if there are, one day, Titleist golf balls, for example? With 3 or 4 dots for "feel", "spin" and "distance"? Logically, their price would need to be at around 200 credits per 3 balls, given today's price structure. Not sure if that is practicable, especially because another trend to be observed currently is: the higher the quality of a golf ball = the shorter time it lasts.

If I may suggest the law of supply and demand. If the supply is high, the demand low, the price goes down. Instead of complaining, quit buying, and the price will make you happy
