I think some players are missing the point of the OP, just finding a place on the available course's at the time where you could achieve this award was brilliant. Then doing it with crappy balls and clubs ( compared to whats available now) made it special. Doing it on St andrews is hardly the same thing.
I aint done it yet and i have been trying .

maybe its because i,m watching tv at same time .NCIS and davids keeps putting me off my stroke .

excellent opportunity for the award.
I do it accidentally almost everytime I play. I forget the water is up there by the green and roll right into it. Easy 45 yd LW with a tap in putt for par. Heck you might get lucky sinking the approach and get a Birdie.
