  The drop rule the OP is citing is for shots into a water hazard or other hazard.  OB is a rehit.

  I suspect many, who play "Weekend Buddy Rules", would be disqualified by the 2nd hole in a real tournament =)

  really Joey...you think they'd make it that far?..lol...If not earlier, based on the mulligan, foot wedge, "winter rules", favorable drop, etc.....they'd all go home on the first green when they assume their putt is good and pick it up because they know their buddy would "give it to them."

  You're right...in fact, most wouldn't make it past the club inspection.
