  It depends...

  In tiered tournaments, you usually play your tier's green speed.

  In some events, the green speed is announced in the description. (beware of Brackets - speed may change in the sequence, un-announced)

  In some MP games, the highest player tier dictates the speed.

  Sometimes, we just don't know.

  If you are playing in coin rooms , the first person on the green won’t have any idea of green speed on the first hole. But the person approaching second can when the first one is landing on the green , can touch the top left hand corner on app , and the green speed will be displayed there, in the same place the green speed is displayed when you are putting.

  just to clarify the above a tad better.  He's dead on correct but...

  Tap the course icon top left. then tap somewhere else on the screen to close the slideout. then it will be displayed.
