    Good morning Brian...:)

I was watching the news and see that Moncton got pounded again this winter. Some dude was standing on a snowbank and clearing his roof...lol

Man, I sure don't miss the weather down east.

    DodgyPutter:

Many moons ago this game was quite different to what we have now.  Yes it was still largely pay (or work) to win but there was a larger element of skill and experience needed.  When buying equipment, you may have to consider if that extra five yards or a tiny bit more precision was worth that slightly faster meter. Now it's simply how many credits for the slow meter and extra everything.

The days when players had to figure out what would happen when their ball landed have gone too, there's little need to learn the courses.

It's probably possible to join play a month or two just getting as many xp (pay and there are options that help with that) as possible.  Get/buy (whatever happens) someone's spreadsheet for wind, distance etc, instruction on how to count dots for putting, extra cash for their course notes. Now get decent equipment and shoot well under par.  Trouble hitting the ding?  There are balls to fix that and even the focus boost.

I know this won't change people spend money and expect to "get better" for it and that seems to simply mean score lower.  I think wgt have that sorted for them.

Please can we have uneven Lie back.  It would bring something different; it would bring fun, unpredictability, a bit of adventure, a game of skill, the occasional par or even worseb/better.  There would be a golf game again, sure the spreadsheets and dot counting may catch up but I'd think not much unless there were significant prizes up for grabs.

Here's an example of the interest in one of the tough it out events some enjoyed(?) One of the early UEL Ryder Cups, a tradition revived in part by Birchi in his 2018 and 2019 versions.

For those that haven't seen UEL, perhaps including Nico, I've included a couple of videos with Mags making UEL look a lot easier than it is and tough it out looking almost as hard as it is, I wanted a video of him struggling with UEL but there didn't seem to be any of them kept.

Of course I realise that many of the uel players have gone from the game and it's only those that came from the flash version that ever played it.  The newer and mobile players would need to put in a fair bit of effort to learn it, if they could stand scoring over 60, but that was part of the fun.  A shot hit close from a 45 degree slope feels much better than a calculation successfully punched in and a ding nearly hit.

I think enough would play it to make it worth getting back as quickly as possible.

This is what WGT said about 6 weeks ago:

     WGTChampion:

Will Uneven Lies come to the new WGT?

Yes, however we're not sure exactly when yet. Unfortunately, we don't expect to have Uneven Lies added to WGT on PC before the end of the year.

So it wasn't to be before the end of 2020, an update now would be much appreciated.

I can only agree. Corwyn and I started the Tough It Out Tourneys as a way to introduce others to UEL gameplay and what we saw as the only real way to play realistically. Using starter clubs and ball to even it all out. It went very well until the starter clubs were ditched and prizes were increased. I continued to play UEL alone almost exclusively until WGT ditched it in the switch over. Not having UEL is the only thing I can complain about. The rest of WGT works good enough to continue to hold my interest for now.

Uneven lies and the ability to hook/draw and slice/fade would move this arcade game closer to a simulator. In no way does that guarantee the game would be more popular.

Oh, and more camera angles for those greens when my two views are crap and crappier. :)
