Nope. But they do convert your apparel points to coins if the apparel item is already maxed out.

Maxing the apparel will only give coins when you do the upgrade with coins.
But it pays for itself in coins quickly.
ah, okay. I was wondering because I wasn't seeing any coins added.
Getting fed up with this now, it's taking me ages to max out the rest of my Swing Edge apparel
