Ive search the forum and read ALL the comments I could find…. and still no one has been able to answer or clarify what the apparel bonuses represent.  What is the big secret? Why is this not explained somewhere? Example…if you have +30 in pants and +20 in glove both for the same benefit…are these cumulative or relegated to the higher value and you would be better served to change out one of the items for a %boost in another attribute?

say several pieces of apparel are for iron distance. Are you better off with 2+more increasing your boost, or would you be better off changing one to putting forgiveness giving you 2 benefits?

I don't use apparel much so not the most knowledgeable person, but I wasn't aware there was more than one piece that offered the same attributes.  For example, the SE hat will boost your driver distance and no other piece of apparel does this to the best of my knowledge.

If you're that curious you could always equip one piece of iron distance, go hit 10 shots in practice mode using mulligans, record distances, and then average them.  Then equip second piece of iron distance apparel (if there is one) and go through same process.  Your answer should become pretty self evident.

I imagine you’ve already read the apparel mega thread but I’ll include the link just in case.

You don’t have to worry about whether distance items are stackable because there aren’t any instances where the same boost is found in different apparel categories as follows:

Driver distance - caps only, Swing Edge only

3W distance - shirts only, Max and Swing Edge

Hybrid distance - caps only, Foxwind only

Iron distance - shirts only, C&M, Foxwind and Topgolf

Wedge distance - pants only, Foxwind only

There are instances where other attributes such as surface power, precision, sweet spot etc could potentially be stacked but honestly these attributes are so subjective that it is impossible to tell whether they are having any effect at all.
