    Warren,

if it works for well you then keep it as is. I would do something different but that's just me :)

fi you curious: i'd set resolution to max, then resize game window to my liking. if you want full screen, that's fine too.

I tried setting it to 1920x1080, but could not get past the black borders.  Thanks anyway.

Warren, whenever possible, I'd use HDMI if the option is available. The only reason I wouldn't is if the aspect ratio distorts your image unfavorably, but typically, if you have a widescreen flat-panel display, then HDMI will provide the clearest most accurate image.

Got my new hdmi cable.  Turned off computer.  Unplugged the vga cable, plugged in the hdmi cable.  Turned computer back on... nothing, no display.  Plugged vga cable back in... got display back.  Will have to wait until next Monday to contact ATI about hdmi support for their 4600 HD Series video card.  Bummer . . .

Did you change your Video Input Source???  If not, it's probably still set to VGA and needs to be changed to HDMI1 or HDMI2.

I looked up your model online and page 13 of the manual explains how to do this...

Hi Mem, thanks.  As it turns out, on the remote, there is a button for selecting HDMI.  I hooked up the hdmi cable again,  and again, got the blank screen.  Pressing the HDMI button on the remote there were two options: HDMI1 and HDMI2, HDMI1 was the one that worked.  So now, I am seeing an hdmi display, I'm not so sure there is that much difference.  I will have to go and do a lot of exploring.

Thanks again to everyone for your replies.

Just finished playing two holes on three different courses, and immediately came to the conclusion, that on my system, the meter stutter/flutter via HDMI is so bad, that it makes trying to play a WGT match impossible for me... and that was with only the HDMI cable plugged in, no VGA cable.  I connected the VGA cable back up.  Found out that I can have both HDMI and VGA cables hooked up, and using the HDMI/VGA options on the remote, I can switch back and forth between the two inputs.  As for now, I am using HDMI to do my web surfing, and VGA to play golf.

oh btw,  via VGA, my meter is back to 99% of the time very smooth.
