does anyone know if there is a %value that the distance of your clubs go farther if i were to upgrade to a 3 dot distance ball?
No official figures are given.
1 dot gives about 3%, 2 about 4.5% for WGT balls over the free ball.
Srixons about 5.5%
Callaways about 6.5%,
Nikes. Don't know or care.
The WGT balls are like "Pebbles".
And a lot of others like "Chewing Gum":
so are you saying that callaway balls giver you an extra 6.5% per distance dot? or in total?
I've only thoroughly tested one ball. WGT Tour SD. It has 2 distance and 2 spin dots. I pretty much consistently got 4% extra distance. I've heard that spin affects it too, so I'm not sure how much help this is.
Basically you should get 2-3 yards extra per dot. 1 dot 2 or 3 yards extra. And the previous poster was correct the more spin used the shorter the distance except with the driver.
I have and are using WGT13 D's 1 dot, have used Callaway 4 dots. On average IMO you will get 10 - 15 more yards per drive. Hope that helps.
