Sorry about this.... I'm sure it's me doing something stupid, but if anyone has the time to read what's below and understands what I'm trying to say, your feedback would be much appreciated.

If I was inviting you to play stroke, I would click play now, which opens up the other screen.

On the left is the main menu and underneath it, it says Play The Game, with the different game options below. On the bottom level, there are 5 headings and the middle one is Multiplayer. Below that, I would then press create a game, which brings up a screen with the courses on and select game type, on the right. If I click on Oakmont or Congressional,it opens up a screen that says USGA Championship Zone. I can't invite friends to play from that screen.

If I select stroke play, the options are listed below. If I select course.... the options are, Random, Beth Black, St Andrews,Kiawah,St Georges, Cabo Del Sol, Best of Famous, Best of Hardest and that's it. I pick one of those, go tocreate a game ( at the bottom )  which gives me the option to add a friend and this works fine. However, I can only play Congressional and Oakmont as a single player, or by selecting a player rank and sending an open invitation out. No friends option.

Any ideas, or am I doing something daft ?

    Hi Gloss,

I have just gone through the process to have a look.

    Click PLAY NOW

    then

If you hover over "EXPLORE COURSES" bottom left

    then

Select "SEE ALL COURSES" from the dropdown your hover produced

    then

Click on the picture of Oakmont or congressional

    then

    Select STROKEPLAY

you are then presented with the usual options for inviting players.

We are rarely doing something daft when this happens, we are just not doing the things that are not daft. Happens to me all the time.

Have to say though, they will not be your friends for long if you keep inviting them to Oak...

    Anyway, good luck!

    Lizzie xx

    Hi

you can get into Oakmont MP this way:

multiplayerr tab --> create a game --> select oakmont for course

    then

select stroke play --> then you will be able to select invite player and select settings above it.. click create game and then invite players.

Yes.  Definition of "unfriending"... invite friend to play Oakmont.

    Gloss

I've just tried what you said and it works fine.  Maybe you haven't realised how to invite friends from this screen.

Once you've clicked on either Oakmont or Congressional you are presented with the screen to select game type.  Select STROKE PLAY from the list on the right which in turn brings up the further options about course and conditions.  At the bottom right hand side you will see the EDIT CLUBS and TEE OFF buttons.

Now the important bit... Above the EDIT CLUBS button, although not easy to see because of the background blending in with it, you can find JOIN A GAME and then above that INVITE PLAYERS.  Click on INVITE PLAYERS and it will take you to the lobby to invite 'til your heart's content.

If you don't see those two options then there is something seriously wrong, and I can't help you with that.

Many thanks Lizzie / Icon/ Mio. I thought I'd broken it and brought the whole system down !

If I do what you say, it takes me to the USGA zone. If I click either Oakmont or Congressional, then stroke play, then invite players, the bottom right hand caption changes from tee off, to create game, which I can invite a friend from, as normal.

It's a bit of a performance for Numpty like me though !

    Thanks again

    Adrian

yeah your alittle daft, lol everything you said above is correct but why are you doing it that way, if you are asking how to play Oakmont or Congressional with 3 friends and yourself its simple. just click under PLAY THE GAME that is in bold white type and select STROKE PLAY when the options come up of the course you want to play like OAKMONT, click on it, then 4 different courses will appear and OAKMONT and CONGRESSIONAL will be there as well. Click on OAKMONT and then to the right of the page it will ask you simple questions, click STROKE PLAY again and make your settings either front 9 or back 9 or all 18 holes, make sure it says at the top RANKED GAME, then go down and select INVITE PLAYERS then click CREATE, from there go to your WGT list of friends and make your selections out of your friends list, your friends must be green and on avalible, not avalible to friends only. It's pretty simple and i have never heard of anyone having the problem you are having if i understand what your saying, i hope this helps........aka..........Lazur
