People here, including myself, have been complaining about meter problems since I joined but the WGT people either don't think this is their problem or they don't care. As far as lost balls, the meter gas cost me too. I also don't agree with the whole lost ball policy here. On St. A's 17th I knocked a ball on the cart path and in real life I would have walked over and retrieved it then taken a drop (if it was unplayable). On St. A's 4th I knocked a ball into the bushes and even then in real life I could have "found" it. Everything here, however, is designed to make WGT as much money as possible so they will count the ball as "lost" even if it is retrievable. They say this is about the "rules" of golf but I just watched the PGA match tournament in AZ and those guys were pulling there valls from cactus and hitting from 20-30 yrds off the fairway in the desert. I did write WTG and asked for the balls I lost due to the meter and if they don't return them I will never buy another one. I also complained about the whole "lost ball" policy and I think if they don't change that I will stop spending my money here. But they probably won't change the policy unless people complain directly to customer service.

I've come to learn there are things WGT can't do for me, and there are defiantly things I can do for myself.  So I do the tweaking a non geek can do...if the game is acting up, I try doing something else.  Usually, when I come back, things are working better again.

The way I see it, if all these meter problems were on WGT's end, that levels the playing field.  If the problem is on my end, its up to me to fix it.  A quick look at our best players shows someone has figured it out how to play a web based game.

The same thing has been happening to me a lot lately. I've made a formal complaint, but never get a response. I don't know if WGT is taking the problem seriously. They will lose players (and money) if this continues....

Being that this is a 5 year old thread, I don't think they are losing too much.
