I agree with you YJ.In order for a RTG to go there has to be fifty entrants which = $50.Not exactly free credits.

In most of the RTG's I see a lot of new names except for the one's in the top 5 or 10.I know thats new money.

I can see an increase of multiple accounts if credits are allowed to be gifted, even if WGT took a cut of it.

Very good point, one that I had not considered. For this reason alone I would be against gifting of credits at all. You are absolutely right - if gifting credits were allowed, people would be banking them off of multiple alias, gathering the free credits awarded thru tier progression, and passing them all to one alias to make purchases.

It WOULD be a great way to track multiple alias, but not worth the trouble when there are easier methods to stop them.

    Think of it this way.

A person can argue that the credits weren't won for free, but I dont really agree.  Once a Master gets good he can use his winnings to enter more tourneys and get more winnings and it just keeps going, without spending.  Do the credits come from other people, sometimes but some are from WGT also.   Sure he spent money in the beginning, but in lots of cases that will halt under the current system.

So right now if I want to buy clubs I need to spend money, this is good.   If I have a few generous Master friends, which I do (thanks guys!) , they might just give me some of their credits thus I dont pull out my wallet, thats lost revenue right there.

Of course some clubs can be gifted and this is the reason that Master and Pro clubs can NOT be gifted, so someone doesnt get a completely free ride.

lol "completely free" ride I think the not being able to gift pro clubs is messed up. People should be able to gift pro clubs now as for masters clubs I can possibly see that. I would suggest that besides special tournaments the so called cash players can join( even though if your really good at this game you can win a tournament without cash and win credits) that they create more courses that ONLY cash players can join and also allow only cash players to become masters at the game or even have tournaments classed as Hack/amateur tournaments, Pro tourneys, and masters tourneys. Thus allowing us to get a chance to earn some credits or a choice of a Special WGT tournament winner club of our rank. These special clubs I talk about are not classified as a cash user but give us a chance to compete at a higher lvl.  This economy sucks right now and a lot of us either do not have a job right now and cannot afford to buy credits or have a job but the job we had to take doesnt even support the bills we had before the economy took a dump on us. There is nothing wrong with a beta game putting a smile on the players helping out with the future of the game. The way I see it it's called good marketing. Current players are happy and in turn they tell friends about it which helps bring in more revenue for the game.
