    jakestanfill7:

So absolutely sick of this topic.  Play your game the way you want and let others play theirs.  I don't agree with quitters (multiplayer games) but to each his own.

If you're so concerned about quitters, join the Hilary Clinton "It Takes a Village" movement, band together and teach the youth of world the virtues of finishing what you start!

Personally I have not had someone quit a game on me in many moons because I either play for money or play with friends.

So if you can't play for money, play with friends.  If you don't have any friends then you have much larger issues than someone quitting a game.

I take issue with your simplimatic statement, "if you don't have any friends then you have much larger issues than someone quitting a game."  I do not carry my friends on the friends list, as i have found that it is one of the major things that caused the quality of my game to be less than it should have been.  I maintain a seperate list of my friends, and only have 2 listed on the WGT friends list.  These 2 are the president of my cc, and our Legend member of my cc.  I also maintain a seperate list of those I have found that are QUITTERS, LOSERS, POSERS, BAD SPORTS, HYPOCRITES, and those others who are unacceptable to play a round with for various other reasons.  My friends list is 342, my other list is 217.  Blanket statements such as yours should have some qualifications.  My nickle!

Fair enough Lee.  Was meant to be a bit tongue in cheek. So you do have many friends on here, you just don't keep them in your list.  Can I ask how you join multiplayer games if you don't mind?  Do you go with whatever randoms you get hooked up with or do you somehow communicate with those on your sheet to coordinate games?

I hooked up with a few randoms when I started the game in 2009 and was lucky enough to find lots of people with integrity (i;e Lvietri, Bollox, Thunderbird, Claremoreblue, Vabighack, jeffdos924, Iconian, Fuzzygazz, just to name a few).  These days about the only time I hook up with a random player is in MP or MPC so if they quit it certainly doesn't bother me a tad.  I build friends from MPC matches when I like the person or by reading the forums and respecting the way a player communicates.

I too have run the gamete of having no friends in list for meter reasons, but after a lot of tracking found out it really wasn't as big of an issue as I thought.  It also got really lonely!

This site and game are built off being social and respectful.  The motivation of the OPs post is to be able to blast people for quitting a game, which I don't agree with.  While I have never once quit a mulitplayer game because of a bad start or shot, I have had several do it to me and just laughed it off.  I hold myself accountable, but if I try to get inside the heads of our diverse community I'd go crazier than I already am.

I'm already far too verbose.  Asking me to qualify all my statements is asking for 3-5 page posts!  I've always respected the way you communicate Lee and still do.  I'm just sick to death of this meaningless (to me) topic.

People quit for whatever reason.  Fine.  But asking for the right to blast them for it goes against the spirit of the game.

As a hack, amat, Pro and TP, people would accept a challenge match and immediately from the get go start blasting my chat box, followed by a rant on my wall.

Unfortunately there are too many a holes on this site that believe there is no room or place for those tiers to be playing a challenge match, but will readily accept such player in a challenge to get their kicks by blasting their chat boxes and walls.

And obviously many fitting that description are posting in this thread.

So, the block remains, and will continue to do so as a wonderful new feature.

I disagree with only playing from ones friends list.

I have created and joined many games with people I don't know. I've added a few to my friends list and still enjoy playing with or against them. Generally, it's because they were simply good company and had nothing to do with their skill level.

If I solely played from my friends list, it would not only be boring after while, but I would not experience many others skill levels and possible fun games. There's some very good players and some nice folks out there. I haven't experienced a quitter in a long time. Maybe I'm just lucky.

    rushdog,
It's people like you that deserve to be blocked. I can tell already, I wouldn't want you in a game, with or against me.

I haven't known Iva very long. But, I've never seen her use even the mildest of profanity in the forum. I guess ya got to be a real d!ck to get her to do that. I'm sure you're very proud of yourself.

Iva is a pleasure to have a game with. I can already tell, you're not. I'm wondering if your personality isn't what causes people to quit games with you. You certainly don't seem very friendly, funny or personable. You come across as a 90lb weakling frontin' as an internet tough guy.

Good luck to you. You need it.
