Thanks for the info Niv, the extended time to test clubs would be welcomed, and knowing that the club performance in the trial period is the same as after a purchase is good info to know.

I understand there is no return policy and I am stuck with these clubs, but is there an option for me to gift these to another player if anyone is interested, where they could gift me back credits in exchange? The inconsistent behavior of these clubs and the lack of ball spin is simply too much to warrant me staying with them, if at all possible.

I hope you are able to see the difference between a trial period, and a return period, apparently not everyone is capable of seeing the benefits to both sides for using something like this. If this isn't possible, it would at least be a welcome addition to allow for free trials for each set of clubs (limit the trials to one time only for each set, etc). It isn't a lot of money if just testing one, but it is more realistic to try all set's out when deciding what to use long term, and that adds up.

There's just no way WGT would ever institute a blanket return policy.  That would provoke a minor level of chaos for them dealing with indecisive people.

Just bumping up the rental period to 2 days and at the end installing a one-time option to buy with the rental amount applied towards the purchase price, would solve the problem.

As for the clubs themselves, they work fine as they are the choice for several top players on here.  They are the best set available that's not Master rated and I still have them myself.

If they allowed the rental fees to all be aplied towards the final purchase then that would absolutely be perfect, agreed.

I'd sure like to know what the deal is with the clubs or the way I am using them, then. I'm sure there is a break in period for them and a learning curve, but I get absolutely NO backspin, even from the fairway with max spin applied, and the yardages they carry are so inconsistent that I can not get close to the pin with them.

The only thing I can say about the Raptures is, I won my only so far tournament with them on BP 9 hole, shot a 29. I now have the G10's, took 2 months to get used to them and the increased meter speed. Still have my Raptures tho and practice with them from time to time.

Usually i like to avoid controversial topics but i felt compelled to comment on this one and any reader should not take anything i say here personally as i am just relating my experience and opinions ...

Concerning the pro v2 raptures ....

I played the original raptures and pro v2's both as a pro and as a master and found the spin rate on these clubs to be exceptional but not superior ... using the GI-SD balls and with anything but a strong tailwind one can throw darts with them ...

But how much spin is expected from a 2 rating out of a possible 5? The master tier g-10's which i currently play are rated at 3 out of 5 and i can tell you that with strong tailwinds even they won't stop on a dime ... they do roll out less though ...

As far as distance consistency i found the rapture v2's to be very consistent across the full spectrum of irons with the exception of the 7 iron which is a hair shorter but much improved over the original raptures ...

I know of three very good players that can take out anyone in the master tier using these very same clubs ... coolswing, iconian, and priestess ...

Speaking for myself i managed to do fairly well with raptures and upgraded to the g-10's in search of ultimate performance .... a look at my stats will confirm this and not a penney earned or a top ten finish was the result of ready go's or mpc challenges ...

Be that as it may i don't know the conditions you have played in or what your expectations were  to cause you to rate the raptures so poorly ... i merely relate my experience and the experience of a few others using these clubs ...

Hope you find some equipment more to your liking VanHalen ...

Don just echoed my earlier post.  The clubs are fine with the minor exception of the 7 iron.

As for lengthening the trial period much longer than a couple days, don't be ridiculous.  24 hours is enough time to decide for most.  Another day or 2 for the time-challenged, okay.  Anything longer and you're becoming Brett Favre.  Stop the waffling and make a decision.

In addition, I'm not sure it's a good idea for people to be able to use rental clubs in tournaments or MPC.  Are they now?   That would just seem like an invitation for people to shortcut the system.
