Anyone want to buy a new set of irons for slightly less than full price? Distances on these are too inconsistent for me and I get no backspin on these what-so-ever. I truly have no interest in keeping these. If you are interested in a nice looking set of clubs that look great in your bag but don't improve your game one bit, these are the clubs for you. PM me if you are interested, I'm assuming we are allowed to sell equipment to each other, or 'trade' cedits for clubs or something. Make an offer, they can't go away soon enough.

Selling clubs to each other is prohibted by WGT-they have a monopoly on buying and selling equiptment- its a racket-they will gladly buy your clubs back at 15% of what you paid for them. They make thousands of dollars on junk equiptment. Poor selection and very little difference in playing characteristics.

You sure aren't a very good salesman are you? For what it's worth, I loved those irons when I had them. They worked for me.

    I believe it's a 25% return on used clubs.

That's a little steep if you ask me, either way (15% or 25%).

Seeing how WGT does not refund, it would be a welcome addition to at least let players return the clubs for credits only (100%) within a few days of purchase. That would allow returns with no actual cash leaving WGT, and allow the player to try clubs out short term in order to find a set that makes him/her comfortable. Put a 5 day limit on it, so we have time to try them out, but can't just decide to upgrade months later and expect credit above the 15/25%.

Seems like a win-win, WGT get to keep the cash, and they also get players who get to test the equipment to ensure they get something they are satisfied with. Both sides are happy. A 5-day max prevents someone from abusing it deciding weeks or months later that they want different clubs, then standard buy-back rates would apply.

It would also take out of play the 'rented club' syndrome which was recently started on another thread (not mine, don't shoot the messenger!).

Ummm.....I am pretty sure that is why WGT now allows you to demo clubs.

I get that, but these are individual charges that are non-refundable. It has already been questioned too that these clubs might perform differently during the trial.

I'd much prefer an option to have a set amount of time to try the real set, real time, then return them for credits if they don't perform as expected. WGT doesn't lose anything, as the credits will go towards other purchases, clubs, ball, tourneys, whatever. And the players can experiment with full sets in real games to gauge their performance. The trick with that, of course, is that the clubs must perform the exact same in the trial period that they would after the trial has expired. They may already, I don't know, but the question has been asked.

So if they don't ding the meter every time you get your money back, huh? Whose expectations need to be met-your unrealistic ones or the clubs' advertised ones? Real intelligent idea.

The refund thing was beaten to death a while ago. Give it up.

    Hi guys,

Plans are in the works to expand the amount of time you will be able to rent clubs, so you'll eventually have more than 1 day to really get familiar with those clubs and see if they'll be a match for your game.

Club stats are the same and perform the same regardless of whether you buy or rent.  The only difference between a purchase and a rental is that you have to give the rental back. =)

Not at all the point YJ, but thanks for reading so much more into it than what was presented, it's becoming expected.

What I am suggesting has nothing to do with getting money back. If you read it again, and a little more slowly, you'll see that I suggested a trial period once new clubs are purchased, where they can be returned for credit to be used towards different clubs, balls, tourneys, etc. No where did I say that I expect a refund after missing a ding.If this were implemented, WGT could do away completely with the club trials, where the money is simply lost, The current trial period does not allow enough time to test the clubs, and require an investment for each and every club. A little inefficient from the consumers perspective, if you ask me.

I am quite disappointed in the performance of the new clubs, and would happily revert back to the starter irons, as I see no improvement in shot accuracy, ball spin, etc. I have an improvement in length as compared to the starters, but nothing that can't be made up with a longer driver. I simply see no benefit to the clubs I purchased. That is a lot different than wanting a refund for missing the 'ding', don't you think?

Can you see one good reason why I shouldn't be able to return them for credits, and be able to try a different set? This approach would also allow WGT to program this into the pro-shop, and would COMPLETELY remove the need for a return policy, as you seem to hint that I am suggesting. I didn't, but now that YOU brought it up, it certainly would be a win-win scenario for both parties.

If you'd like to stop putting words in my mouth, and stay with the intended suggestions/topic, it sure would be appreciated, and much more constructive.
