I am relatively new to WTG having been on here for only approximately 2 1/2 Months. In that time I have played enough so far to have moved to Master tier. When I reached master I was not at a level high enough to obtain clubs that could perform well at the longer distance and struggled greatly until I leveled up enough to obtain better clubs. I am not one of the best players but I do enjoy the game and read the forums. I  hear, see, read about and encounter how the lower tiers or multi-accounters have the  ability to level up, or be gifted, to obtain upper level clubs and play at lower tier levels to achieve extremely low scores, which causes some discention on here.

    My suggestion is this:

In order to promote players to tier up and achieve a more balanced playing field, why not do as you do for some products and make upgrades to clubs, with distances and performance, graded on a level and tier achievement basis instead of just a level basis.

I know this post will be negatively received by quite a few players but I think there might be a majority that may support the idea.

I agree, you should not be able to buy the good irons and drivers until you rank up. No way anyone should be able to be a level 80 or 90 and be able to buy the best equipment and still be a Tour Pro or below.  Just my thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    saltiresfan:

What level were you when you reached Master?

I believe it was in the very low 30's and I was using the Starter Plus Set  with a spider putter and Z wedges.

My contention is that a level 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's+ Hack, Amateur, Pro or Tour Pro's shouldn't have access to the clubs needed to play the distances at higher levels prior to moving up regardless of their level. Which I believe would facilitate them to tier up or simply learn to play better with clubs designed for their tier level.

This I believe would put and end to some of the negativity I have encountered regarding this. I offer this as a suggestion and possible solution. It doesn't affect my play, ability to do better or tier up one iota.
