hpurey:
We can't truly hit a draw/fade. Until we can add side spin to the shot, all we have is a pseudo draw/fade at the moment.
Not sure that would be possible, although it would be cool.
The way it works now it is hitting the dark blue bar of the meter on either side. As said before, if it's possible to do that with the woods, why the irons do not react the same way hitting in the same dark blue areas?? ugh?. Loosing yards would be part of the shot type, but as wind & highs, all can be learned quickly.
A real example is at Congressional hole 4 approach, the branches of the tree on the left side of the green make simply impossible to find the flag if some wind, lets say about 15-20mph coming from left to right . You either hit the branches or land some of many yards right on the green.
As in reality, draw, hook, fade or slice is possible ALSO with the irons.
As far as I can see, the new Olympic course will have many big & tall trees surrounding the greens. I can imagine that playing on very windy conditions trees will come very much into play when teeing off and approaches.
