Don't really understand why it is possible to draw or fade here in WGT with the woods but not with the irons.

I use the draw or fade often from the tee or from fairway when need it, but I can not do the same with the irons! ...impossible, the ball simply goes straight,

Hope the feature is possible in next updates.

We can't truly hit a draw/fade.   Until we can add side spin to the shot,  all we have is a pseudo draw/fade at the moment.

How do you draw/fade with the woods?

There are several post about it in the forums, if you use the search feature. Good luck, it works pretty neat indeed.

Not sure that would be possible, although it would be cool.

The way it works now it is hitting the dark blue bar of the meter on either side. As said before, if it's possible to do that with the woods, why the irons do not react the same way hitting in the same dark blue areas?? ugh?. Loosing yards would be part of the shot type, but as wind & highs, all can be learned quickly.

A real example is at Congressional hole 4 approach, the branches of the tree on the left side of the green make simply impossible to find the flag if some wind, lets say about 15-20mph coming from left to right . You either hit the branches or land some of many yards right on the green.

As in reality, draw, hook, fade or slice is possible ALSO with the irons.

As far as I can see, the new Olympic course will have many big & tall trees surrounding the greens. I can imagine that playing on very windy conditions trees will come very much into play when teeing off and approaches.

Well, have played now the Olympic several times with mild side winds & I can ashure that draw & fade with the irons is crucial.

Please, make the same kind of hit (meter dark blue areas) also for the irons. I can imagine it is just a matter of using the same programing parameters you already use for the woods, to be used with the irons.

If you land on the "wrong" side of the narrow fairway, you chances to go for the flag with no fade or draw are hopeless. In long approaches I use the 3 wood & draw or fade instead of using the 3-4 irons....bit silly although possible.

Hope you do something about it, In the end, draw & fade with irons is a very big part of real golfing.

Have to agree mate, after playing Olympic, shot shapig both off the tee and from the fairway are essential.

Given that 'shot shaping' is a parameter in their properties when you buy clubs, then it makes no sense not having that ability on the course.

Maybe its the type of irons your using....Check the "shot Shape" ability on them in your equipment screen. I can get draw n fade out of my irons . I also use the WGT tour GI-SD balls. Hope that helps.

Hum, all irons have the same "shot shapping" as far as I remember, besides shot shapping does not mean that the iron will make the ball draw or fade, however, I am positive that when hitting the "dark blue area" of the meter with your irons, you can not get the wished draw or fade.

Hope we are talking about the same equipment properties.

I play with vapour balls quite often and I can tell you quite simply there is no draw or fade when u hit a shot, the only affect on the ball is from the wind, unless of course you fart at the top of your backswing to play a power fade.
