I assume at the Pro Level there are some change to increase in difficulty. What I have found at my current level is that when I am on the fairway after the tee drive... the distance of my iron shots does not match the power meter, and usually come up around 1/3 short from the shot distance I shot for from the power bar.

Say for instance from the fairway on my second shot, after taking into account all conditions... and I have a 180 yard shot to the hole. I select my proper club (which usually is the default selection) and make the 180 yard shot measured off the power bar. The shot ALWAYS comes up short... the actual shot distance hits approximately 120 yards... 60 yards short!

This has drastically hurt my playing ability, and I am not able to improve my score at all. WHAT'S THE DEAL HERE? I'm just about ready to call it quits!

    PLEASE HELP!

    Tommy

can you save a replay next time it happens? it's hard to judge otherwise.

    Hi Tnemmo

To hit 180 yard how for up the power bar do you go and did you put any backspin on the ball and which way was the wind blowing.

    Hi Tnemmo

To hit 180 yard how for up the power bar do you go and did you put any backspin on the ball and which way was the wind blowing.

Lets look at what happens on a par 4 shot - where the shot usually comes up short on my second fairway drive where I use top-spin to force extra yards out of the shot... and my third fairway drive heading to the green, I use low english to stop my shot by the hole. Both shots are adjusted for wind speed... but the short shot results.

I've played enough games to where I understand the technique of this game, but someway, somehow as I am doing the same as usual... something weird is going on since I reached this level.

    Thanks for trying to help...

Well, I have maxed out my "saved shots" allowance... so do I have to erase some of my saved shots to make room to save these "troubled shots", or is there some other way to save them such as in an email?

    hi

if you play single player, when you select to shave a shot, at the bottom, it will generate a link.

you can copy/paste that link on your blog post:)

If you hit the SHARE button you can send it to your-self as an E-Mail. You can then use the link shown in green in the E-Mail. Just highlight it and copy then paste into an E-Mail to wgt/members,com Or post it on your blog on your home profile page explaining the problem.

    Hope this helps.

there could be a few factors at work here. if the wind is strong, and its a headwind, this will take distance off your shot. if you dont hit the ding(marker line) exactly in the middle, this will also take some distance off your shot. combine the 2, and you could easily get that much distance short in your shots. there is also a thread over on the right hand side of this page called "troubleshooting" read that, and clear your cache etc, it does help.

Is this a new feature?  I'd love the option to shave shots on every hole...
