    chrisironsbones:

The ready go's as they are almost guarantee you a double your money payout and even the chance of extra

That's BS. The reason I have stopped playing RG's is because it's so difficult to even break even.

This would be an additional thing to help, like SPINO1 said in the post above, the average/less gifted Legend a chance to win a decent amount of credits.

I fully agree with the TS and Sgt on this one. I personally dont play RG"S and as a new legend highly doubt with the exception of a trugolf course for kicks that I will. With what the TS has stated though I would definatly be more inclined to play RGS with a double or nothing entry fee. As chris has pointed out, people that can "Easily" double there money in a normal RG would more then likly not bother with the double up RG as they belive shoot if I hit a good round I would be losing credits, yet us mortal, average legends would play it saying "Hey I know I have a chance to get paid with this kinda tournment" and play it and be happy with the double up.

Great idea and hope WGT really considers it.

    Mes.

PS: Even in a Casino they understand this concept. Look at Roulette, you can bet on Red or Black and double your money. (Exception is if its green but only 2 spots like that lol) Same princple here and great idea.

Now I know why you beat me recently Chris... I for my part often fail to get to the double pay spot, would definitely play some of those double or nothing ones. To decrease the number of players to 10 or 20 would be the best idea of all of them because its a great incentive to play for lower tier people. There is always a good chance of having maybe 2-3 legend opponents and still 2-3 spots available, which is not the case in the recent rgs.

    Cheers, Hans

    I'm up for that

I've managed to make some credits in the TM 100c RGs plus the 100c St A front 9 but I'm on the brink of Legend now and can't compete with 55......58 is my best 18.

But If I knew the entrants would be my level of Legend then I'd give it a go.

Yoban and RuiCraveiro would have to be banned though......they play everything!!

thats the thing, the same people who usually come top 10 in normal ready go's will still enter these ready go's for a quick double up, making it just as hard to be in the scoring half of the leader-board anyway, so it will work out exactly the same as normal ready go's, the cream will always rise to the top as said in previous posts unless people who have a ready go win to their name are banned from these double your money ones to give the average player a chance, of course this will never happen as in everything in life you cant get anything for nothing (except if you are on benefits here in U.K) so the people who have put the practice in deserve all the winnings they get

    Yes and No, Chris.

Yes, the top 3-5 players will still be at the top.

No, it would be easier to break even or make credits, finishing in the bottom half of the field, due to the suggestion of only paying out the top 20 places, not top 30.

I belive you are totally wrong Chris, as I have no idea why a top player would enter these. I will quote well you >>> "

"The ready go's as they are almost guarantee you a double your money payout and even the chance of extra, so cant see wgt ever bothering"

That line sums it up, really. If you are good enough already to basically gurantee a double up if not better this type of tournement would eventually piss you off because when scoring a really good Top 3 score you are only getting double. Add in to the mix regardless of score even if the top players chose to play MB nailed it more people would win and all win the same. I almost see this type of touney as a training ground, introduction to RG's. Once players get more confidence they will shift to regular RG's making it a WIn/WIn for players and WGT.

    Mes.

Edit: Forgot to add, to truly make this work you would have to cut the payout field across the line. Making the min. payout in a regular RG double your entry. Only then would it truly make sense.

Don't get me wrong I wanna take these guys on someday, and have beaten em a few times in the low credit RGs. But when you know you have to shoot at least a 57 to just get your money back it's not worth paying in the first place.

I need a lot longer than I've been here already to start shooting under 60 regularly.

A double you're money RG is not worth it to the big hitters, and knowing you only have to get in the top half to win is a good incentive for the lesser Legends and top Tour Masters.

I've taken this tournament as an example: http://www.wgt.com/tournaments/readygo_old.aspx

If the top 25 would get their $2 double your money then that makes $50 meaning there would be no cut for WGT which will never happen, and whatever the number it will never work out, say only 40 enter for $1, then thats $40, half the leaderboard get the other half's credits meaning 20 people get get $2 each, again, no cut for WGT so the only way is to make it 45 people can enter so the extra 5 give wgt the cut, but then it can't be the top half of leaderboard anyway and sounds like a normal ready go (without the top 3's prizes), or, you'd have to pay say $1.10 to enter (to cover wgt cut) and it would technically not be double your money anymore.LOL..
