The best way to use avatar moves is set yourself up an easy chart where you show what the value for each move is by the green speeds. You only need to know the value of 1 move per scale, the 1st one.
Mine used to look like this when I used one for the Ghost (all memorized now.) Use whatever scales you have and set up practice rounds with the different green speeds and go learn them. :-)
