played a guy who was same level as me so we both had the same G20 driver Im using the 450 nike distance balls and hes using the cheapo tour GI-SD balls and im out driving him by 1 or 2 yards maximum hittting the sweet spot.

How do they get more distance surely my nike should go a good way further???

    Backspin may be the clue.

With the high level G20 driver and the SD balls (*) I use backspin when ever I want max. distance regardless of the wind - it seems quite uneffected by side wind. Some nice drives are in my replays.

(*) same two dots for spin & distance than the GI-SDs but only half price

Only exception is St. Andrews - there I don't wanna sacrifice the nice roll - I'm experimenting with topspin there in headwinds.

Everyone's always asking for a driving range so their avatars can practice their swings; maybe we'll get a virtual weight room too.

Balls with less spin are less affected by wind and roll farther, esp. at St.A, RSG & Kiawah.

There are a few places on certain fairways that if you pitch just right you can gain a few yards by getting a good bounce. When you make Legend you need all the help with distance that you can get.

back spin for tail wind above centre spin for head wind.

use slice and hook to ride the wind

The search for additional length is something that many men trouble themselves over unnecessarily.

It's what you do with it that counts :-)

I have found out that when you hit your space bar very hard repeatedly during your drive you will get a few extra yards out off your drives.

Maybe there will be a change in viewpoint when the back tees enter the equasion.

    lmao what...

I'd rather have various putting grees than a driving range. Why would you need a driving range?
