    So...I'm a Master with 66.63 avge

anytime i par or go +1/ +2 on a round or even up to -2 on a round my avge stays the same. If i result in a -3 my avge decreases buy .05 (or similar)

We currently have a CClub tourney titled:  'lower your avge'

St A's  - front 9 - Fast Greens, low Wind, easy hole

Sure enough, have played that tourney a few times and with a result of -3/ -4 my avge has been going down by 0.15 each time. happy days?
Subsequent games since then have been GolfSeeker 'practice' settings or ALT games.

So tonight i hit -1 on BP B9 stroke I expecting that my avge will remain the same BUT my avge goes UP to 66.97..

I havent seen my avge go UP for a LONG time

is it because i have been reducing my average specifically with this 'easy' CClub game?

Should I stay away from courses that are 'easier' to play - in fear of some kind of avge / difficulty equation?

This recent increase has THROWN me..  usually in WGT stroke  or Club Tourneys i can pretty much guess what my avge is gonna do at the end of a game.

hope i'm making sense. 2am in Sydney :)

    Hi ,

I am a Master with Average 64. I really cant help you with calculating average , but

it seems that my Average is calculated well. I use to play on St. Andrews about

-4 to -6 and it goes down anytime about 0.15. My question is : Where can I find i

list for Level UP! I mean what Average to Level Up! Someone told me next Level

Tour Master is 63 Average ??!!! Legend???? Greetings!

@pilota: There is no list. The number is right.

@shrude: You have approx. 130 ranked Master rounds under you belt (see your score history) and your average will have stopped to go up three months ago. If you noticed such thing lately, it must be an error (by WGT or someone else).

Rounds of 70 and higher (35 for 9 holes) will not affect your average any more, and soon you must be better than 68 (34).

    HTH.

I play for fun. I play courses where eagles and birdies are easy, because it's fun for me.

Now I will hear a backlash to the regard " Be a man & play Oakmont & fire at every pin"

I play for fun, ave don't really have a meaning for me. Waitin on clubs to unlock anyhow & needs the points.

So my answer is play what gives you the most fun. Some folks like the hard courses, some like the easy ones. But ave., i know too many people get hung up on averages (me included) and that should't be what it's all about. imo

I couldn't agree more. After less than 8 months, I'm happy where I am and my average hardly seems to budge at all any more, so reaching sub 63 to stand a chance of moving up to Tour Master, is something I never think about nowadays. When I was out of work, I could throw time at it for fun and that moved me up through the tiers. Now I'm employed again, I just enjoy any time I can get on here, between sleep and work !

Latest one I read who posted requirements for tiering up was genorbs:

Pro = average 80 with at least 10 ranked rounds played as Amateur

Tour pro = average 72 with at least 20 ranked rounds played as Pro

Master = average 67 with at least 25 ranked games played as Tour pro

Tour Master = average 63 with at least 40 ranked games played as Master

Legends = average 61 with at least 50 ranked games played as Tour Master

Credit for this information goes to genorb

Thats what I thought, the person I played, his avge went up also. He had also been hammering the EASY play course and bringing his avge down.

I understand all the LEVEL UP and TIER info, we have a thread on it in our CC.

I was intrested to know WHY it went UP in that BP game with a result of -1 ...  and if it was a result of hammering and EASY play course
