  Hello everyone, I'm back and running again. It took me some time to check all your bragging...

  I would like to welcome four new members of our club:

  n. 59 ANIMULL, USA, KW#11, 04/02/10 (yes 2010, news delivered by the Pony Express Service and Buffalo Bill in person  on horseback...)

  n. 61 BRISTOLUK , from Bristol UK I dare say, Bethpage#13, 21/05/2011

  The second Double Eagle from BORNTOBESTING is on hold since the link he provided is broken, there is no evidence that the shot was taken from the proper tees, so please provide proof to qualify.

  All D.E. in the Ketel Cup (medium tees) do NOT qualify (chrisironsbones, bogeybuster, Jerm65, golfspieler, Chucknskull, KRH1)

  Blue tees for FREALZU, by his own admission

  SUNSHINE705, par 3s DO NOT qualify, that was an ace

  Shortstroke25, hackerj, no replay, no stats.

   

  If you feel I am wrong, or want to submit further evidence please post here.

  ALSO, BEFORE SUBMITTING A SHOT PLEASE READ THE RULES OF ADMITTANCE ON THE FIRST POST, IT WILL SAVE ME A LOT OF TIME.

  Agreed.  Tee requirement is clearly stated in the rules of admittance (and welcome back by the way).

  I'm fine with this one not counting, since it would be my second and would put me even with Bollox.  And well.....that just somehow don't seem quite right to me, y'know?  Or at least, it doesn't seem right on a 125yd shot.  I'm not risking the rap for upsetting the cosmic balance, so I'm all good with the DQ on this one!

  Wouldn't the "Ketels" qualify for an honorable mention though? (DE from any tier's tees)

  All of the others (in the above Ketel quote with me), made their first DE, which is notable from any tee (spieler's was even of the rare, "slam-dunk" variety!).  Given that, I'd like to suggest that they be provided with an honourable mention. I think they all meet the criteria?

  At the very least, we'd be adding some strength and depth to the club's waiting list (particularly useful for the annual member-guest), since I recognize most of those names from various leaderboards....and they're usually above or beside mine!

  Thoughts?

  I made a double eagle today on #11 at Kiawah.   I saved the replay and it is recorded in my activity as well. It also propelled me to the lead in our CC tournament and gave me my best score so far of 59, beating my previous best score of 62!

  I'm not sure what happened to the link that I first posted my second double eagle. The replay is saved on my profile. It was made during a weekly unlimited tourney. I posted the replay again and it is still broken but you can check out the replay on my profile.But I'm not sure how the replay shows which tee was used. But as far as I know all weekly unlimited tourneys the tees are tier specific. On a different note. This is not the first time that a link to a replay that I have posted has become broken. Does anyone else have this problem?

  The listed players are members of the DOUBLE EAGLE CLUB, having shot a confirmed (in replay or in their stats) double eagle, or albatross.

  As of today there are only 64 double eagles (of those, 18 are also aces) that we know of; of those, TWO have been scored by BolloxInBruges (our esteemed Vice-President), and  THREE by lobwedgex60, who is therefore appointed PRESIDENT of the DOUBLE EAGLE CLUB. 

  I am truly thankful to Fatherson for his research efforts.

  The club will welcome any new member who will post on this thread.

                                                       RULES OF ADMITTANCE

                          To be  a Permanent Member a player must have:

  - scored an Albatross/Double Eagle from his/her tier's tee or higher. Shot  should  be confirmed on the stats and/or in replay. Scorecard is acceptable if  there is a witness/marker on the card, but only in stroke play

  - scored an Ace in Alternate mode on a par 4 (or a par 5...)

  
  

                       To receive a Honorable Mention a player must have:

  - scored an Albatross/Double Eagle from any tier's tee, provided there is a replay and/or a witness and/or a scorecard

   - scored an Albatross/Double Eagle in Match Play mode provided the opponent witnesses the shot in public by posting on this thread
