If the tourney is unlimited.....Which score is posted lets say I shoot a 72 then I play again and shoot an 80 which score is actually posted to the leaderboard? Personally I dont like unlimited play because you should get what you get. I usually play a practice round on the course with set conditions before I actually enter. I wish WGT would do away with that option personally.

TY I figured that being as scores are really low. Probably took some of those players 10 tries before they shot sub 60'2 eh. I wont be playing in to many unlimited tournies anyway due to that fact.

Even if there's no chance to get into the top 100, they are nice to practice a course w/ double XPs, sometimes (Sun Safe) also good to chase the average.

Unlimited play would be fine if a player were required to finish each round they start before playing another round. What's happening now is that many of those leaderboard leaders just play a hole or two, don't like the score, quit the round and start again. They don't actually post a score until they've restarted a bunch of times without completing a round.

I agree that you should get what you get. Every round started should be completed and count.

That's what makes this world so great ... everyone is entitled to an opinion.

The idea of everyone having to finish a game in an unlimited tournament has it's merits .... and I would suggest whey you develop and set up a golf gaming site such as this ... you should implement it in your tournament rules.

Until then .. this is WGT's site and people play by the rules set out in the tournament.   The mere fact that there is a restart button in the game should tell everyone it's OK to restart when your not doing well.

Just my opinion ... play well everyone.

If we didn't have unlimited tourneys, think of how many more "My practice round would have won/qualified, but WGT metered me in the tournament!" threads we would have to put up with.

There are lots of Single Play tourneys, but when you've played them all for the week/month, isn't it nice to have the Unlimiteds around to play instead of a boring practice round?

Yeah but then that is why CC clubs are available. If its a good CC then there would be plenty of ranked/scored tournies to choose from weekly. Starting over before finishing and playing the same course over and over again is more boring then anything else.

Try this method and see if you can post those low scores!   Regardless of how they acheive it, don't discount a nice round posted.

These scores have to put into perspective!  Most of the time tthe same leaderboard would result, regardless of the amount of times played!

    Cheers,

OIC - you compare the average with USGA handicapping(?)

    It's a different story though:

    - it's not real golf but a clickedy online game about golf.

    - it is (partly) about tournament best scores or personal best scores.

    - those lesser scores do not count for the tournament (replaced by better scores) and would eventually not count to the average,

So what would be the difference of your wish - apart from the time players would have to spend with rounds that don't give them the desired result?
