This tourney the top 10 spots make $$ http://www.wgt.com/tournaments/leaderboard.aspx?id=02b28ecb-10d2-461e-b5d6-a0450175d4c7 and it runs for 30 days unlimited play. After 3 days the cut line is a 52 and I imagine that will drop to 51 before month is over. Wouldnt surprise me to see a couple more 49s either with these conditions.
About the round....
Only took about 33 hours of grinding it this weekend. If didnt eagle 2
AND 1 or 3, I'd hit restart restart restart. Been playing
this almost exclusively for past several days. Knew these tees course
and settings were ripe for picking.
Was Tied with 10 other players at 52 with r11 and nike balls. The
limited rollout on the slow
tourney greens and short approach shots from the Pro white teebox hurt
approach shots with that gear in those settings. Needed more rollout so
Tried r11 and callaways and struggled with the faster meter speed so abandonded that.
Went to g20s and callaways and shot a 55 . Decent but no cigar.
Today went back to old 2.0 irons and callaway 35 z balls that bollox
and win1soon had used to shoot 50 in these same conditions at the kettle
qualifier last year. This turned out to be the perfect combination of
roll out after the shot. Still prefer r11s and nikes from legend tees
though.
