What is the difference or significance of practice , ranked or scored?

exactly what it says on the tin . . practice counts for nothing, ranked goes towards your average and scored gives you level points . .

Perhaps I'm missing something but I can't find a way to really practice; that is, hit the same shot twice or more, putting more spin on the ball, putting to a different angle, comparing a pitch shot with a lob, etc.  Is there a way to do this?

    really practice

lmao bob no you're not missing anything. WGT won't implement taking the same shot again . . . and they won't say why. Real practice like you say would involve this . .

The best I've come up with is hitting up and back in the fairways. You get 10 shots per hole so use them to practice how you like. I like Bethpage as a practice range.

You are correct: Ranked rounds (strokeplay only) go to the average.

Pardon me for correcting you in further details:

Each single shot counts to the XPs (adding 1 immediately), and practice rounds count the same XPs as ranked / scored rounds.

Scored rounds (match/AS) go to the stats in a player's profile.

FWIW, some special stats (e.g. HIOs) are only filled in ranked strokeplay.
