own tournament

   i have written before on this subject.  i am tring to hold a tournament for my friends at work.  I found this site for them and i now have 30 people that just joined this site.  I would like to start my own tournament for them.  is it possible to do this on this site.

  Hi dcboys, we don't currently have features that would allow you to set up your own tournaments, but it's not impossible to do. Check out the posts in this forum (Community-Organized Tournaments) to see how other players are organizing them.

  It is actually fairly easy.  I am currenty setting up an 'invite only'  tournament myself.

  If you want to have a stroke play tournament, just pair everyone up (2somes or 3 or 4) and have them invite each other.  They record their own scores and report them to you.

  If you want, you can use google docs to report the scores and record them.  That might be overkill if they are all in your  office.

  Match play is more complicated, but see my blog for a simplified version.
