Round 1 match with my old ladder buddy, Tommybarnes. I knew this one was going to be close because Tommy & I have always played at about the same level.

I wasn't wrong ...I got to 2 UP early, then bled it away. AS again on 8, then neither of us could get more than 1 UP after that. On 18 , it sure looked like it was over ... I hit to about 6 feet, T was 50+ on the top tier. I'll be damned if he ddn't hit the hole .. didn't go in, but made my heart stop. Good for Tommy,though, I was totally fooled by the break and missed my birdie putt. First extra hole, I missed from about 7 feet ... Tommy didn't.

Excellent match and well deserved win for Tommy

Seems my friend Jeff is a little cursed in this tournament, but it sounds like it was a good battle. Well played Tommy and well played both of you for getting your game in early.

What a bummer. I thought there was going to be" 64" entrants as well as the" 64" ave line. Now I know to get my entery forms in much earlier when EnglishRosey makes the call. ;-)

sorry guys, 64 entrants would be a little to many to handle and as this tournament is so specific in criteria; must have an avg of 64 or higher and be a Legend, who is willing to gamble ;), i am amazed we even find 16.

As quite a few people did just miss the cut, about 8 or 9 players now as it filled up quickly, i will try to include these players in the next one first (if it happens and if they wish to take part)
