  Round 2 will be a challenging round on Oakmont.We all know Oakmont can be a brutal course,however if the putter is working well it can be very rewarding.So the format will be 18 holes at Oakmont C.C. If both players choose 9 holes,it will be played on the front 9. Good Luck and keep it in the short grass!

   Very fun first round match with a terrific guy. ProfessorJoe wins it 4&2, but it sure felt a lot closer than that. 

   I was 3dn at the turn, Joe found the water on 10 and  had one of his few missed birdies on 11 to get me close. He killed my momentum pretty quickly, though, winning  12 & 13 to get back to 3UP. Two nice birds on 14 & pars15. On 16, he caught the slope and left it pretty short, then dropped the birdie bomb on to win the hole & seal the match.

   Gl in the next rounds, Joe ... look forward to playing again, man.

  It was a very good game with a really good guy.  Jeff summed it up best when he said that we were pretty evenly matched, I just got a few more putts to fall.  Hopefully that trend continues as it looks like my next opponent is our illustrious host, EnglishRosey.  =)

  Rosey......just let me know what day and time works best for you and I'll do my best to be available then.  Very fun and enjoyable tournament so far!

  Side note.....how do I post my replay of my CTTH attempt at hole #7?  Not sure what the current closest is, but mine was 8.4 ft.

  Kindle2010 beats  frikkiemare8 4 & 3. Was a very tight f9, as, with each of us having a chance to go ahead then following up with a poor shot. B9 slowly pulled away with a string of birdies.

  well done all for arranging and playing your games quickly, we have half the first round matches completed already, at this rate we can start round 2 a lot sooner the scheduled (hopefully)

  Will stick w/ the trend and go with another USGA course, round 3 will be on Olympic.  If time constraints require a 9 hole round it will be on the back 9.

  the final will be played on yours trully designed 'the hardest holes course'. 18 holes should be played but if both players decide to play only 9 due to time issues,  the back 9 shall be played.

  Jumper281 took it to YankeeJim, 2up. After a shaky start going down 2, Jumper played solid golf the rest of the way. Down the middle, on the green. I did my Ponce de Leon imitation and went exploring.  :(
