Just thinking out loud.  We have alot of players that join on a daily basis, but how many of them actually played here on the site.  I would think after six months of these players showing no form of play whats so ever, meaning no blitzes, alt-shot or practice rounds that their account should be deleted  permanently.   Wouldn't this help keep improve the performance of this site.

I'm sure a flag could be set to check that if a person has spent any cash buying credits that this would disallow deleting their account.

If 6 months is too short of a time to show player inactivity, then perhaps after a year would be a better indication?

I highly doubt that WGT runs this game off the same server they have the "very secured info" . It would make no sense to do it that way from a Tech's standpoint.

If Microsoft can deactivate you after x amount of time from Hotmail so can WGT. Its not bad business at all. As long as they give you an option to reactivate if a customer so requests.

I know Microsoft is a giant by comparison but they didnt lose me as a customer or any of you on here at WGT. If they did you wouldnt be using a computer nonetheless playing on this website.

    Just food for thought.

Indeed. Such is the nature of being closed-source.

Most *Nix machines have fallen off of the mainstream market except for the private sector.

    No need to wonder why.

WGT is simply protecting themselves... but as Infinito implies it would probably be a good thing to run a database clean up. Although I don't think it would have any effect on game performance as you had eluded to and as I have deduced.

I think it's pretty clear they are harvesting.

    Ill just agree.

I have no clue what you mean (Language barrier LOL)

    My thoughts, and just mine.

If that were the case then xxx-million users would diminish.

Less users means less incentive for advertisers to pony up.

Besides, then all the MA's would have to play off each account daily;)
