Alright so I'm looking to buy some new irons so I can control the ball a bit more, but I'm not putting any real money into the game so I don't want to waste credits, meaning I want them to last me until legend.

Are there any irons for like 800-1400 credits that are good enough until legend? I'd prefer a medium-slow meter speed and at least 3 forgiveness, but is that possible?

I saw these clubs and thought they might work, can anyone tell me if they would be good enough until legend, or if i need to spend more/deal with less forgiveness or high meter speed.

Great point Dylyn...I would also suggest for right now to save your credits. And even though they may seem expensive...in my belief the G-20 Iron Set at level 59 for 2195 credits is the 'best' purchase you can make based on what you are looking for.  They have a slow swing meter speed...and are both fairly forgiving and a decent degree of accuracy!!! But from that number level and also whatever 'Tier' you may be on...they could probably take you all the way up to at least 'Tour Master' and maybe even 'Legend' !!! Now from there the only improvement (if you need more Iron distance with a 'High' trajectory) would be the Taylor Made R-11 Iron Set !!! However be forewarned that they have a faster 'swing meter speed' than almost every other club up here!!! I bought a G10 Iron set when I was at level 59 (I was at 'Master' tier at the time...in fact I am still at the 'Master' tier and I went to the 'Master' tier at level 50...because I was so desperate at the time like you for more distance) and those irons are still serving me well and I am not on level 88!! But ultimately the choice will be yours...and just how much you are willing to invest to playing well.  From what I can tell by your comment on eventually making the 'Legend' tier...that you have a competative nature within you!!! So don't cheat yourself>>>'Treat Yourself' !!! SAVE YOUR CREDITS AND THEN BUY SOMETHING THAT CAN CARRY YOU A GOOD DISTANCE...YOU'LL BE HAPPIER DOING IT THAT WAY!!! (hopefully...but you should already know how golf is...good days & bad days...good rounds and bad rounds...good holes and bad holes...good shots and bad shots...and of course good scores and bad scores) Welcome to golf !!!

yeah, definitely the G20's .. they'll give u distance and stopping power on approach to the green .. allow a bit more for crosswind though since the high trajectory gets affected more by wind drift .. i've played one round with the lvl 69 Rballz irons then immediately dumped them .. the med trajectory on those irons doesn't suit my game .. i'll wager that all the top tier players prefer high trajectory irons cause the stop the ball where it touches down on the green with b/spin

Quoted for truth. The Rocketballz irons stunk. I rented them for free and hated them inside of 3 holes. I practice test new stuff at Oakmont, BethPage and Congressional. The up hill approach shots seperate the good irons easily.

For thr OP the L59 G20's can get you to legend IMO. You'll need lots of dinged shots, great putting and the better balls to score.

I have to agree with a couple of the replies you've already gotten Slater, Namely to save your credits until you have enough to get what you really want.

I would suggest however, that you might want to consider purchasing 1, possibly even 2 more wedges ( a 60 deg. and  a 56 deg.) and definitely get some decent balls, which will help you out tremendously. As you advance in tiers, you will find that the distances increase and the greens get slicker, and good balls can help alleviate some of this.  While the free balls have the advantage of being free, they will not allow you to control your shots, which will become more and more important, especially at the Master/Tour Master/Legend tiers. The Srixons would probably suit you the best (I have a friend who swears by them{he's Legend tier]), but the higher end WGT balls would also work.

    GL to you.

Hey there, some good advice  there that says go with the lvl 59 g20 set, these clubs will be able to take you to legend for sure. Its the route i have taken, i stayed with starter clubs  untill i got to lvl 59 then ui bought the G20 set and that set has taken me from tour pro(starter clubs) to tour master and i tink they will be able to get me to legend as long as i keep playing well

I also purhased 3 wedges at the same time 95yd 75 yd and the 60 yd tour pro wedges or whatever they are called and i wont renew em till i get to the clevelend lvl, chk out my stats and you will see the G20 are a decnt set of clubs

    regards

My equipment path/alternate 2c ... grab the level 48 Ping Rapture V2 full set (super slow swing meter - good for free/super cheap balls) and the level 38/39 Taylor Made 54/60 wedges. (Besides getting the woods/hybrid, the discount on the full set gives you a little better return % when you sell em)

You can mostly compete with those clubs and free balls (a bit of a rough spot in the high 70s/low 80s) until you can get the G20 full set.
