I have to laugh, ask a dumb question, get a dumb answer.

If one considers the horizontal to be zero % back spin, or the top of the ball to be zero %.

I would say that the Center of Ball is Zero%. Anything above that will be classed as top spin.. 70% B/Spin, I have no Idea...lol. Just have to guess

I have a dumb question, where on the ball do you classify 70%?

centre of ball is 0%....top an bottom of ball would therefore be 100% TS or 100% BS

Infinito that was an excellent quetion. Different schools of thought looking at the spin on ball and 70%bs means nothing without knowing which method is referred to.

TBE explained 100ts to 0 ts ( which is middle of ball)   and 0 to 100bs ( bottom of ball) my 75%bs backspin would be equal to his 50% bs

I do it a bit different

This is how it was explained to me, 1 way isnt better than  another. The key it so be CONSISTENT so you get repeatable results.  That is why I use ZOOM setting the spin sometimes to make sure I get it exactly where trying to.

I look at ball same  as my putter scale in 5-10% increments top to bottom

0 ts spin = dot at top

25% ts  = dot 1/2 between full ts and not moving the dot

50%  Dont touch the spin or I call it "dot ball"

75 % bs = dot 1/2 between not moving dot and 100% bs

100 % full bs = dot at bottom

When  you move the dot down to where it is just barely touching the swoop I consider that 60% bs

when you have a little gap of white between the top of dot and the nike swoop I consider that 70% bs

    Love it,  trying to confuse the masses, lol. ;

    0% B/S = 100% T/S;   Lets really confuse them

I posted this last year for callaways:

And Don (runwme) that's exactly how i take shots by manipulating spin.  A good example is 195 iron.  We all know its roughly 204 yards with no spin, full spin i expect to get 191 yards, so if i had a shot that needed 196 yards, because choking down would be too much (remembering its 204 yards not 195 due to balls) so i go to full spin, then move cursor up a tiny bit, this would give me 195 yards.  Its a much better way to take shots, always using full power, but dropping yardage off, (or increasing by using spin instead)

    Hi Don or anyone else,

Were you able to confirm these distances. I am having a tough time knowing how much to take off my shots or adjusting spin with the 2.0's. I have recently gone to the Nike +47 ball so I didn't have so much distance on my shots.

And why are there two different yardages for no spin?
