the putting alone is enough to drive anyone away.  flat putt, put it less than 1/3 of the total power and it goes 20 feet (30 ft max) - 10 ft past the hole.  Return putt, still flat, hit 1/3 of the total and it only goes 5 ft, and pushes to the right.

more 4 putts than in real golf.

It sounds to me like you are missing the ding and playing on tournament greens.  Pay attention to the type of green you are on.. VERY important.  The beauty of this game is the fact that you will eventually learn how to putt... takes some people longer than others but with practice you will eventually learn to 2 putt (sometimes 1 putt) almost every putt.  If it were easy... it wouldnt be fun.  The challenge and the excitement comes from the fact that it takes time and practice to get better.... or just quit.....

Looks like you played Oly I can assure you there are very few flat putts:)

You need to start off at KI or SA in low winds on the slow greens.

Read the putting tips in the FAQ's.

    Good luck.

    Try this.

Add or subtract 1 foot for each inch the putt goes uphill or downhill.

Take that number and divide by

    Slow Green divide by .9

    Standard  divide by 1.0
    Fast divide by 1.1
    Very Fast divide by 1.2
    Tournament divide by 1.3

And use that number as your putting distance.

Inside of 10 feet it is different, though, you want to hit it a little harder than that, and on very close putts you can ram it in.

Now as to how far to move the meter. On each putting scale the avatar (you) will move the putter back a certain amount of times, for example on a 30 ft scale there are 5 movents so each movement represents 6 feet.

sounds more like the operator head space and timing rather than the game. There is a learning curve unlike TW Online where anyone can play

Haven't heard that one in a while lol.

I'm thinking his first putt and second putt where on two different putter scales.

Thanks for the replies (or most of them).  I will say it was on Olympic and the putt scale was the same.  Probably just a lot of frustration.

    Thanks for the tips
