I watched a 60 Minutes episode with Roger Waters and never realized how big of a following they had.  Thought to myself, wow, I need to listen to some of these cd's.  For the last 2 days I have just been listening to nothing but Pink Floyd  INCREDIBLE MUSIC!!!!!  better late than lever huh??

I was 16 when Wish You Were Here was released in the fall of 1975. It remains one of my all-time favorite albums to this day. Caught Roger Waters DSOTM tour a few years back and it was FANTASTIC!

Foolishly I passed on the more recent The Wall tour (I'm tired of paying these ridiculous prices for concerts), heard it was one of the best ever, some great clips on YouTube.

    concert prices sure are exorbitant

there is only one good reason to be old(er)

i got to see pretty much of ALL the good bands.

Dreaming to go back to the days that a tik cost 5 bucks

and it was an all day affair.

saw Gilmours momentary Lapse of Reason tour

at the Tacoma dome. all I can say is WOW

Get the Dark Side of the Rainbow album and watch The Wizard of Oz on mute and they go together. Pretty crazy stuff. Much better when high though lol

You poor thing - but you are right - better late than never......

I am lucky enough that Pink Floyd has never been far from the turntable for the last 40 years - just never had the opportunity to see them live (due mostly to the country I live in)

is that a Rainbow album I missed?

i guess your talking about Dark Side of the MOON.

BUT my opinion back then was

    'everything went better with hallucinogens.

edit: sorry i was just reminded re.. DSotM and wizard of oz

    weeee bit to much acid

I guess I just heard the mainstream songs on the radio like money, and mother ect.   The deeper tracks are when it really i mean REALLY gets good.   I hate the radio these days, cant listen to it anymore!!

Sorry yes the album is Dark Side of the Moon. But they call it Dark Side of the Rainbow for some reason when you put them together. What I was thinking and wrote were two different things lol.
