At last it's kick off time!
Quick run through of what's required to take part.
Obviously the aim is to be at the top of the league after the final match on July 1st. The group stages will involve posting 2 predictions each day to increase your chances of winning. I'll also throw in the chance to win bonus points to add to your total as the event goes along.
I'll post the FIRST prediction for the upcoming matches and hope all will follow until I post a notice stating that the particular day's deadline has passed for accepting forecasts - probably about an hour before the first game of the day kick's off .
Group stage matches kick off @ 5pm/17:00 hrs British Summer Time with the exception of the final round of games in each group when all games kick off at the same time; 7:45pm/19:45hrs British Summer Time.
I'll endeavor to update the league standings and also post the
following day's match details as soon as the ongoing fixtures are
completed.
Feel free to post anything along with your forecast : slating &
berating of your fellow competitors is not only allowed.................
it's positively encouraged!!!!
Points will be awarded as follows:
Correct result = you predict the exact score ( 3-1, 1-3, 1-1 etc) = 5 pts
Correct match outcome = home win/away win/draw = 3 pts
Results based on 90mins including extra time when required.
3 'Joker cards' 
will be available to play on individual games for the duration of the tournament - simply make it clear on which match you wish to use them - any points gained will be doubled for the chosen fixture.
Prizes will be awarded thus :
CHAMPION: 3,000 WGT credits + Trophy!
Runner Up: 1,500 WGT credits
3rd Place: 500 WGT credits
*Prizes will be in the form of goods from the WGT pro shop.
