Is it just me or has anyone noticed that you can keep up with other high-end balls driving? I can drive it depending on wind 300yds and less. I noticed it does not spin back, but it will stick with shorter irons and wedges. The longer irons will release and roll. Also, the meter on mishits they do not seem as bad. It seems to keep the meter smooth. I have noticed around par 3 water or hazards the meter doesn't jump and try to speed up near ding so you hit in the water. Wgt water monster not like cheap balls? These are easier to tame than starters and can ding more often. Once you get a hang of them switch to the high-end ball and you will ding more often then not :).

I use the B-ESs all the time and I find they are a good ball too. The drives with the R11 can be upto 340ish with wind but even calm will go the 280. Then as you say, go to the higher end balls and find the ding easier. The only thing that catches me is when I go to the higher balls, the extra distance throws the club selection to get the same effect.

Being the guy that suggested you start playing those balls I can tell you yes I know. For every dot of feel on a ball it takes off distance, that ball has no feel so it you ding it it really gets out there. It is hard to be consistent with them with the faster meter irons like the burners or r11 but when you are in a groove hitting them they are spot on.They do have more draw backs than the faster meter. No spin for getting over tree's on drives like on Congressional and Olympic  to name a couple and really need some spin on other shots like 9 on Oakmont but you sure can't beat the 10 credits price! If you want to score a 53 on Olympic to keep up with the top guns in this game you will never do it with these balls but they sure are fun.

As a legend I can tell distance is not THE most critical thing in a ball, to be honest it is 2nd in my priority. The number one factor for me is back-spin

I've heard there are instructional videos available on the internets that illustrate that very concept.

i like too, but with this balls you can learn the surface of the green, and when you play in high wind is easier to get near the hole with the roll.... i think is the best price/ball for learnig!
