Have you all been noticing the Community Spotlight feature on the main WGT page?       There seems to be more and more players with ideal Tier designations with super low averages.       I've seen Amateurs with 73 and 74 averages.....  Pros with 65 & 67 averages..... and that Poor Master I saw the other day with a 67 average.....   What's up with that??   Am I missing something here? ....  me and my measly 74 Pro average.....lol!     I am sure WGT has a logical explanation for this.      Now don't get me wrong.     I like my average and my Tier.... it's just that those of you who play these so called Tier Based tourneys..... seems to me would be at a disadvantage.        I don't mess too much with the fee based tourneys, I am not that good at all to compete.... and I surely do not want to donate my credits to that PRO with a 65 average...Ha!     but that's all right.    I like my Tier and enjoy the game.       You all have a great day and enjoy this video game WGT came up with... it is great!!!

It has always been this way, and the spotlight has always been focused there, upon our very best sandbaggers. Except in the Master gig where the opposite takes effect. Either way it is all HORSE$HIT...~SP~

It does mean something when the player is entering tournaments and not posting Ranked rounds.... or if they do... they are always high scores and not the low scores of the tourneys they enter.     Take a look at the leaderboards and you'll see what I mean.     Look at their score history and see for yourself.     The only time an average means anything is when you use that average to get designated into a  lower Tier than that of your playing capabilities.      Don't really know why I brought this up... it just pissed me off to see the discrepencies in Tier designations and averages...   I'm pretty sure I made Pro as soon as I broke 80....  so how can a guy have a 65 average and still be a Pro??     Hey, jbenny... we need to play...lol!

acey, you might as well face it people are going to put their average where they want it to suit their needs, just the facts. you look like your fairly new here, i would'nt get upset with what others do. enjoy the game how it relates to your having fun here, baggers are everywhere in golf including here. thx JB

You also have to realize that, according to WGT, score alone is not the only criteria for advancing tiers.

    There are other factors involved.

    From this thread:

Sorry for the delayed response, but I had to go deep to get the answer for this one.  Snaike you are correct, average alone is not the sole determinant.

I don't think they're going to tell us, SMason... simply for the same reason they don't tell us the numbers to shoot for to advance tiers.

In the absence of truth and forthcoming revelations can only exist an element of conspiration. Sneaky WGT. Sneaky.
