Hi LOL .. to answer your question .. there are a few reasons I limited the challenge to 16.
1) It's hard to get everyone to commit to the time necessary to do any of the community tournaments. Setting up matches is tuff when folks work, have families etc. That is why we are only doing 1 on 1 matches --- coordinating 4 players schedules is a chore. Also we only have a small club so to get 16 of our best to agree is not a bad percentage. Plus , we all know that this convoluted WGT average is not the only measure of how well a player does.
Remember too .. even though there are 16 on each team --- only 12 will play in each round --- so the captains will have to juggle their lineups.
Thanks for the answer Ivietri,
You said 4 players schedule?, I must have read the first post wrong, though it was only 1 x 1 match game, sort of CC vs CC = Deviatios vs All Stars. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I can understand that Deviations would be in theoretic disadvantage if more then 12/16 players because the All Stars team would put only the very best of the "rest" of WGT top players. Although this is suppose to be only for fun, no mater who wins.
Inviting 48 players to get the best 12/16 could be a tough hazard.... as you can see in previous posts.
I could imagine that choosing the best top players with best match results could have perhaps been an easier selection process.
Anyways, hope we all get FUN!!!..no matter who qualifies or who win the final invitational.
Cheers, Eric
btw, you can all me Eric, Ivietri.
