The WGT World (and the Deviations) patiently await the final decision ... and the first 12 All Stars who will play for 1 point per match  in Round 1 on Congressional.

Just to repeat .. Mike and I have concluded that the 3 courses to be played will be:

    1) Congressional (1 point per match)

    2) Olympic Club (2 points per match)

    3) Oakmont (3 points per match)

All matches will be ranked rounds which end after 18 holes.   In a tie the competitors split the point(s).

72 total points available --- 36 1/2 win the Challenge.

While I think we will be lucky to make it to the last 1/2 dozen matches ---- In the unlikely event of a tie --- Mike and I will do an 18 hole playoff including sudden death on Bethpage.   (that's right ---  BPB ... the other courses are way to hard for the 2 of us).     Hell we may even do one as an exhibition once this Challenge is completed .... so you can all laugh at us ... :)

Lou....For sure the first 12 will be those who qualified from the MP Tourney...so go ahead and start your line ups.

I'll send over the "12" to you in a bit.

You'd be as well writing all those names out on bits of paper and picking 4 out of a hat. Anyone of those players are capable of beating anybody else on WGT. I don't envy your task as you'll not be able to please everyone :)

Well...it atually is tomorrow now...and I have my last confirmation...before I mention him...I'd like to preface this with a few words (ya....look at my post count)...

My first two picks were Tiffer and Dazza...why?

Well Tiffer is a great player here and has shown nothing but class in ever single post of his I have read.

Definitely the type of a teammate any one would want.

Unfortunately he'd only be available for the first round, and I felt the qualifiers should have that opportunity...and what a class act he was in understanding my request that he drop out.

I also choose Dazza for a two reasons...one...I watched Jamils "legend 400" tourney with interest and the man does have game here.

Two...I see him at the top of many of the RG's I play...sure...not MP...but when credits are no the line and you succeed...it's just as tough IMO.

Kriztjan was the players pick...and a stud he is...this was a no brainer IMO and almost everyone listed him as a choice in thier picks.

I chose cyl6 because of a recollection of a post...someone had asked BiB who were his toughest opponents...most would assume Alee...etc...and he brought up Cyl6...impressed the heck out of me...and stuck in my head this past year.

I may also add...I've never said as much as boo to anyone of the above players I have mentioned until this tourney was rolling.

My last pick is my home town favorite, just like in the MLB AllStar game..Managers pick who they want...and dang it...I've played with this guy several times, yes he's a member of my CC, but man does he have a game here.

He plays this game mainly for fun...so may not be a household name but he has a game that can compete with anyone here at WGT

    Say hello to Dduvall981

My last words here are that yes...there are a 100 players that should/could be here.

Jamil ran a fine tourney the best way we knew how.

Of those not picked or asked to play, I am sorry...but understand we did the best we could...the Dev's were asking for 16 players...not a field of 160.

For all of you who are in this Tourney...my hat is off to each and every one of you.

For those not in this Tourney who are deserving my sincere aplologies...as I know you would still be an asset to this team.

    As a reminder

The "12" will be in the first match ups at CCC

Lou will let us know what the match ups are.

Kudo's to both Mike and especially Jamil for putting this together and fielding a ridiculously strong field   Tess, how can you say the Devs are not the underdogs? :)   I am working on the Round 1 match ups now and hope to announce them so we can get this party started this friday 7/13 and run it through 7/23.        By the way   Jamil has built the official scoreboard so just tell us your results.  No posting scorecards  and all ranked rounds.   Stay tuned.  Same Bat time.  Same Bat channel.
