I know i sound like a d**k, but what would you like the moderator to say?   Opps you didn't follow the rules, our bad?

The screenshot I posted was not my game client.  it was a player who resides in the west coast, or PST time zone.   Mine read Jun 18-21st, but I also realized from reading the rules, when round 1 ended exactly.

Going back to my point, that the game client shows tournaments times specific to a players time zone.

Again I am sorry you missed out.....

    Cheers,

    b0gey

    thebigeasy707:

Anyone with 1/2 a brain going into round 2 with a few days left before they need to play their final round can simply hit "play now" and select Olympic...Practise Mode...Slow Greens and Heavy Winds,

This would not have been possible had it been kept to championship greens.

You'd think that Davey but from my experience today I would say the greens were actually a bit slower than the normal slow. I love slow greens as I like to be aggressive when putting and you can take a bit of break out on the putts of less than 10 feet. I couldn't hole a putt today for love nor money. That and I played like a tw@t, lol....

I think a simple solution was mentioned earlier, a universal countdown timer on the tournament screen so everyone knows EXACTLY how long they have left until the shutters come down on each round.....simple but effective.

This multiple dates nonsense depending on time zones is farcical and only adds to the confusion

Could it be WGT wanted us in the far flung countries to think it was 21 (as shown) to filter out possible winners from countries other than U.S.A to save on their air fare ..lol (but tinybo at present has halted that.LOL)

And to you ANDREW, if you had read the opening few posts you would have saw SLOW greens was all-ready mentioned, i was just responding to what was already mentioned, so use some one else for your target practice.

The daily play XP bonus is set by GMT. Why the heck aren't all Tourney's set by the same time? Start and end on GMT instead of USA Pacific Time.

The confusion over tournament end dates is nothing new. I'm pretty sure that they are aall posted in the same manner.

When it says June 1-July 1, that means June 1 TO  July 1 ... not THROUGH July 1.

Unless someone is a total newb, there's not a lot of excuse for making that mistake. I'd think that most of us have missed getting a weekly round  finished at least once or twice because of the confusion.

The bigger trouble has always been the time zone thing.

Like Minky said, a countdown timer would be a great addition. We already have it for the CDP and CC tourneys show the time left to play, how hard can it be to do the same for every tournament?
